Sporting News: Cricket for All

The MDCA and the Castlemaine District Cricket Association participated in an under 17 female social T20 match last weekend aiming to promote engagement in local women’s cricket.

With the MDCA unable to enter the under 14 Just for Girls Wendy Gray Shield T20 annual carnival this season, they still wanted to organise a special exhibition for aspiring girl’s cricketers, with the friendly played at Carisbrook Recreation Reserve on Sunday.

The event was supported by the association’s girls representative cricket sponsor, Priceline Maryborough.
