Dunolly and Carisbrook are coming off a down year on the court from their 2023 campaigns and will be keen to move back up the table in 2025.

After going undefeated in the regular season and losing out in the grand final in 2023, Carisbrook regressed a little in 2024, finishing the regular season in fourth.

After being convincingly beaten in the qualifying final against Avoca, Carisbrook was knocked out in the semi-final at the hands of Lexton by seven goals.

Carisbrook has responded by recruiting heavily in the off-season, with new coach Jordan McClure bringing along some other former Maryborough Magpies players to assist the Redback’s quest of returning to the grand final in 2025.

Dunolly aimed for another finals berth in 2024 after finishing seventh in 2023 and nearly making a semi-final.

However, they struggled throughout the 2024 season, missing out on finals after registering three wins.

With a new coach at the helm, the Eagles will be eager to showcase their competitiveness against Carisbrook on the weekend.

Carisbrook will be looking for a repeat when the two teams squared off last season in round 13, as the Redbacks controlled the match to take a 19-goal victory away from home.
