Ten athletes travelled to the Melbourne Sports Centre in Parkville to participate in one of the premier competitions on the Australian junior Jiu Jitsu calendar.

Team Lazaros made the most of the trip, winning six golds, four silvers and two bronzes across Sunday’s action.

Fresh off her two golds at the Savage Grappling event in Broadmeadows earlier in the month, Bibby Montague added another gold medal to her collection with a submission victory in the final.

Archie Mason, Cruz Walker, Harvey Mitchell, Mickey Savvidis and Marlee Jez also claimed gold on Sunday, with Mitchell winning his final in a brisk 31 seconds with a submission.

Alayla Savvidis continued her recent success in March, coming home with two silvers while Felix Forster also earned a silver medal and Jock Mitchell claimed a double bronze.

Team Lazaros now prepares to travel to Sydney this weekend for the NSW state championships.
