Joining candidates across the country Labor candidate Greg Olsen has been making the rounds in his electorate.

As election day, May 3, quickly approaches Maryborough’s Aus-tralian Labor Party (ALP) branch hosted Mr Olsen and member for Ripon Martha Haylett at the Community Hub last week.

The Annual General Meeting attracted 30 ALP members and supporters, vice president of the branch Lorraine O’Dal said. They voted unanimously on rail issues including increasing rail services to Maryborough which will be forwarded to policy committees for consideration.

Ms O’Dal said Mr Olsen’s campaign has taken him through North West Victoria with more to come.

“Greg is enthusiastic in his campaign for Mallee and looks forward to meeting many more community members in his travels,” she said.

Ms Haylett spoke to her work with senator Jana Stewart to find state and federal funding for Maryborough’s outdoor swimming pool.
