Havilah’s Heath House launched its first ever resident exhibition on Monday afternoon, with the opening attended by residents from various campuses, family members, staff and Havilah board members.

Residents submitted an endless range of collages, textiles, colouring, photography, sculptures and paintings, in an overwhelming amount of pieces displayed.

Havilah CEO Tracy Saunders said the art show’s launch has been a success, creating an opportunity to showcase the creative passions of residents.

“The inaugural Havilah Residents’ Art Show was inspired by our residents and their interest in the many art and craft pursuits and hobbies that they have been involved in throughout their lives, and for so many to continue to enjoy whilst living at Havilah,” she said.

“Art and craft has been, and will continue to be, important to our community.”

Members of the lifestyle team worked tirelessly in the lead up to the gallery opening, showcasing submissions from all Havilah campuses.

“It has been a real team effort between the Havilah residents and staff at our three campuses as well to bring the art exhibition to fruition, with our lifestyle staff in particular playing such an important role in the curating of the exhibition,” Ms Saunders said.

“We have had to make extra space to include some late resident artwork in the exhibition, and this has really added to the impact for the many residents, family, friends, and general public who have already attended in week one.

“Everyone has commented on how good it looks and what a great initiative it has been. People are already talking about next year’s exhibition and how they can get involved.”

Following the Residents’ Art Show, some pieces will feature in the Central Goldfields Art Gallery’s community exhibition later this year.

The 2025 Havilah Residents’ Art Exhibition is on at the Heath House boardroom until Thursday, October 30, 2025, with viewing available by appointment, by calling 5461-7300.
