Don't forget to clear your diaries for Words in Winter on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June.
The jam-packed weekend begins with the launch on Friday June 28 at 6.30pm at the Bull and Mouth Wine Bar. Organiser Janice Simpson is excited about the calibre of guests and variety of topics covered throughout the two days.
“We have a fantastic line-up to entertain and inform you,” Janice said.
“Saturday sessions will be held at the newly renovated Creative Space at the railway station. Topics covered include self-publishing, Reds Under the Beds, cooking with saffron (demonstration and tasting at the Millhouse), Songlines and Memory, and a poetry spectacular.”
The words continue on Sunday at the Highland Society.
“There’s a super-sized crime session in the morning, followed by lunch and a belly-laugh debate about football and religion,” Janice said.
“Aren't they the same thing, I hear you ask? Well, come along and find out while enjoying a delicious Sunday roast.”
