Football Preview: Trentham v Natte Bealiba
There has been a fixture change as the Natte Yallock ground has not come up in time, so this game has been transferred to Trentham and the round 14 return game will now be played at Natte Yallock.
These two sides met in the 2024 grand final and as the premier team of the 2024 season, Natte Bealiba, will be up and about as they look to defend their title in 2025.
They make the trip to Trentham full of confidence having only lost one player from the 2024 team who has been replaced by Nathan Holt — the brother of their gun forward Will Holt. Nathan brings premiership experience with him as a triple premiership player at Wedderburn in 2012-2014.
Trentham will be eager to gain revenge for their defeat in the 2024 Grand Final.
The return of Cooper Webber-Mirkin to the forward line will go a long way to bolstering their forward structure and will give Saints fans hope for a strong season to come.
If Trentham can produce the quality of football that saw them defeat Harcourt in the 2024 qualifying final, then they may just surprise the Swans, however, it will have to be a big turnaround to knock off the early premiership favourites.
