Local emergency services were called to a crash at 8.40 am at the roundabout intersecting Majorca Road and Gillies Street.

The scene involved a Mitsubishi ASX and Toyota LandCruiser colliding with each other, causing disruptions on Majorca Road.

Both male drivers, one approximately in their 30s and one approximately in their 50s were assessed by paramedics who arrived on the scene by ambulance but neither were taken to hospital.

According to Maryborough Police First Constable Ryan Watson, the incident serves as a timely reminder for drivers to remain vigilant of driver fatigue.

“Make sure to keep your eye on the road and manage your fatigue,” he said.

“With long drives to work, especially in the early hours of the morning, make sure that you are monitoring your sleep and take a nap if you need to.”
